I've written a super easy pattern for a wash cloth and face scrubbies. They're quick, eco-friendly, reusable and washable as well as looking great in your bathroom and kitchen, adding a luxe handmade rustic charm. I've used a cream and grey Women's Institute 100% cotton aran yarn (US yarn equivalent is worsted weight) from hobbycraft which is for home projects like this and feels and looks a little less processed, a bit rougher than silky smooth yarns for garments. It does shed a few fibres when making up so I recommend washing before your first use. I've made one washcloth and 5 scrubbies from a 100g ball or it will make 2 washcloths.

Add a luxurious spa feel to your bath time

Washcloths

These are crocheted up in a lovely textured stitch which will give a slight exfoliating effect when they're used. I've added a loop making them easy to hang for storing and drying. I recommend using a cotton yarn as this makes them hard wearing and durable. It's also quick and easy to wash and dry.

The hanging loop is really useful

Scrubbies

These are crocheted up using the same stitch. Ideal for removing make up with your favourite cleanser and super easy to wash and dry and ready for reusing.

These scrubbies work up really quickly

They also make thoughtful charming gifts to give to friends and family and are a great choice for anyone wanting to live more sustainably with less plastic and waste.

They make great kitchen dishcloths too
